Sauna Heater Clearances by Model
How far a sauna heater must sit from the walls and ceiling is set by its manufacturer, model by model. This table lists the safety distances printed in the Harvia installation documents we hold for each Harvia heater we carry, in inches — Harvia's own U.S. figure where it is not below its metric figure, otherwise rounded up so it never falls below Harvia's minimum — with Harvia's millimetres beside it. Where a distance is not printed in a document we hold, or Harvia's documents disagree on its condition, the cell says to see the manual — no figure is filled in.
Install to the clearances in your heater's installation manual; it governs. Before installing, check the current manual for your exact model and configuration — this table is a planning aid, not a substitute. Harvia often publishes several distances for one side (for light construction, for combustible material, or with no condition stated); where Harvia states no condition, none is implied here — follow the manual or ask us.
